Calling all Tennis Fans in Dublin

If you are like me and LOVE Tennis, you may find it hard to find players like yourself. Here we endeavor to make it easier to do all the things associated with tennis.

Experienced players, please join and lead. We need event hosts and/or coaches.

Being a member of Tennis Dublin, you will:

be informed of Tennis meetups happening around Dublin;

join in and learn the game;

find partners to play with;

coach Tennis to others (if you are an experienced player);

competition standard instruction

and Go to tennis events in Ireland and Abroad.

Get started now the home page show all the currently planed events that you may be able to join. Selecting the Suggest tab will list all the suggested tennis events that need a partner/additional players. You can also suggest your own tennis event.

Tennis for Beginners - North Side - Midweek

This is a mid week session echoing some of the 10 week tennis course for beginners and for those that would like an additional session. This is open to all beginners i.e. you do not need to be on the 10 week course. These are social group coaching sessions, you will be encouraged to have fun where possible whilst you play. The first few mins may be devoted to worm-up exercises. The organiser will lead all sessions. The organiser Has more than 10 years experience playing/coaching tennis but is not a qualified coach. Cost: 15euro per session. Session is 1.5 hours in total. 1 hour coaching followed by half an hour hitting if sufficient attendees are available. Cost includes: The lesson, some spare rackets (provided for those that do not have one), balls, teaching aids and court fees. Location: Rockfield Park - Tennis Courts - there is lots of free on street parking around the park. It is also easy to get to by bus (3 to 5 min walk). Payment all payments need to be made in advance either via the payment link or in cash the first time you attend. Tennis for Beginners - North Side - 10 WEEK COURSE wk6

This is a 10 week tennis course for beginners which starts on 4/7/20 and is planned to complete on 12/9/20. The first 12 people to pay will get priority. There will be a 1 week mid term brake (2-9 of August). These are social group coaching sessions, you will be encouraged to have fun where possible whilst you play. The first few mins may be devoted to worm-up exercises. The organiser will lead all sessions. The organiser Has more than 10 years experience playing/coaching tennis but is not a qualified coach. Cost: 15euro per session. Session is 1.5 hours in total. 1 hour coaching followed by half an hour hitting if sufficient attendees are available. Cost includes: The lesson, some spare rackets (provided for those that do not have one), balls, teaching aids and court fees. These sessions are for beginners only. Sessions will be structured - with a end goal of enabling students to: • Primary - serve, rally and score. • Secondly - Take part in drills and skills sessions. • Thirdly - Use of skills and tactics to enable attendees to play competitively. To have the best experience students will need to play outside of these lessons to en-grain the skills learned. Students will be encouraged to get to know each other and play together where possible without the organiser being present. Please see the finding a partner section below. Drills and skills for Improvers and Intermediate Tennis Players

The organiser will enable drills and skills for those that attend in a timely way. The session will cost 15euro and will last 1.5 hours. The mix of drills and skills, match play and tournament tennis will depend on the number of attendees. Attendees must be members of Tennis Dublin, RSVP for the event and pay the organiser immediately on arrival. Please come directly to the organiser NOT to the attendant in the club house. These evens are about playing tennis and having fun. So please be social.
