What we’re about

This group is open to anyone interested in learning about and practicing mindful awareness meditation. Each meeting includes some basic instructions and guided meditation. This approach, based on the accessible teachings in The Joy of Living: Unlocking the Secret and Science of Happiness, by Mingyur Rinpoche, focuses on using our daily lives and the challenges we face as fertile ground for cultivating a peaceful mind and open heart. Mindful awareness meditation draws on the wisdom of ancient meditation traditions as well as neuroscience to train the mind to be calm, focused, attentive, flexible, and efficient. We will meet on the first Thursday evening in December, February and March from 7-8:00 p.m. on Zoom. If you are interested in joining please send a text to 914-980-9545 requesting a Zoom link or email joy@tergar.org for the link to be sent on the day of the meditation group. These meetings are freely offered; donations of 20.00 are welcome and used to cover expenses.
