Online Experimentation: Listening to your customers

Details
TestHeads is back with our first event of 2021 and we will be continuing with our very popular LockDown Webinar Series.
For the first event of 2021, we are delighted to welcome Lizzie Eardley who is presenting on 'Online Experimentation: Listening to your customers'.
Online Experimentation (or A/B testing) is an essential tool for listening to, and learning from, your customers. It allows you to understand the different ways you’ve impacted their behaviours or experiences, and to quickly pinpoint the causes of any issues should something go awry. With experimentation you can measure the real value of your features directly from your customers, in production. After all, a perfectly implemented feature isn’t truly a success unless it achieves the original goals.
You will leave this talk with an understanding of the why, and the how, behind online experimentation, the many ways in which it’s useful, and some best practices for running your own experiments.
Lizzie Eardley is an astrophysicist turned data scientist with a passion for deriving insights from data and a mission to make statistics less scary. She is currently working on the statistical engine behind Split.io, enabling teams to make smarter decisions, faster. She has spoken at numerous conferences internationally on a range of data science and experimentation topics.
