Having seen the rise in the popularity of Cypress and speaking to lots of people keen to gain experience with it, we thought we would run a meetup aimed at those interested in getting started with Cypress. We hope you find it useful 🥰
Synopsis: Introduction to Cypress with Marie Drake
Cypress is a front end testing tool built for the modern web. It is currently the 2nd most popular JavaScript testing framework and is rapidly increasing in popularity,
In this meetup, we'll look at what Cypress is, why it's popular and how you can write your first Cypress test in less than 5 minutes.
Marie will also be on hand to answer your questions at the end and there will be a Github repo available to attendees to play around with in your own time after the meetup to get practicing your skills.
Marie is awesome, she is a Cypress Ambassador and Principal Test Automation Engineer at News UK within the Product Platforms team. She is responsible for setting up the overall QA strategy and ensuring that they deliver a high quality product to their end users. Part of her role is to also educate everyone about Software Testing and Test Automation so the responsibility of testing is shared across the team.
Previously, she has worked as a Test Automation Consultant having worked with different clients from different industries to help them speed up their testing cycles.
