What we're about

Test Valley Cycling (TVC) has partnered with New Forest Cycling Group (NFCG) to bring both MTB and Road rides to the Test Valley and surrounding area.

If you want rides (MTB and Road) that are in the Test or Meon Valleys, and surrounding area, then this is the Meetup group for you.

If you are looking for Mountain Bike rides that are predominately in the New Forest, then NFCG maybe more suitable for you.

We are a group of friends who enjoy social cycling on roads and trails. We don’t take it too seriously but do grade our rides Blue, Red or Black. Rides are run both midweek  (day time and evenings) and at weekends throughout the year.

All new members need to be approved by an organiser. To join you will need to include a photograph and a small description - please indicate your level of cycling experience and preference for Road or MTB so we can plan rides accordingly.

New members are welcome to come along to 2 rides first to get to know us, after that an annual £10 fee is payable to continue your membership. Fees are due on January 1st each year, new members joining from October - December get the following year included.

Please contact the one of the Co-organisers to arrange your payment. This payment can be made in Cash, BACS or Coffee and Cake
Membership is free, if you are already a fully paid up member of NFCG.

If you want to become a Ride organiser, please speak to a co-organiser, who can arrange to add you to the team.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - the not so small print.
Test Valley Cycling you will enjoy participating in any event involving cycling and that you will understand your own obligations in terms of safety and health whilst doing so both to yourself and other riders. Cycling has many associated health and well-being benefits, provided you remain safe doing so.
Please be aware that by joining as a member of Test Valley Cycling you are responsible for your own safety and security when participating in any event or in any training programs and related activities. This includes using public roads and facilities where hazards may exist. Riders should also be aware that accidents can occur during cycling events, which could result in serious injury or death. All riders therefore are voluntarily participating in Test Valley Cycling activities with knowledge of all such risks, and when riding agree to participate with mechanically safe equipment compliant with the highway code and regulations. You are required to wear a properly fitted and adjusted certified helmet when riding. We would recommend that you take 3rd party insurance with either the CTC or British Cycling.
Riders should ensure that they are physically capable of taking part in activities, and where appropriate have taken medical advice before participating. Never eat yellow snow. Riders consent to treatment in the event of an emergency or other incident in which, in the reasonable judgment of the on-site personnel, they require medical care.

Members also consent to their photograph, images and any videos being used on the Meetup site or in any related publicity material.

By registering as members, all riders agree to abide by the House Rules and these terms and conditions including waiving legal rights, and do so by their own free will.

If you have not paid the membership fee and are not active on the TVC meetup site for more than 6 month , the organisers reserve the right to end your membership.
