Restyling clothes _ Working with… Sweaters

Besides our 'Coffee, tea… ideas' meetings to chat and explore, we want to propose working on concrete projects. It’s great to imagine things and discuss, but some of us need a push (I do!) to set aside time and make those ideas become real… so here it goes!

Who will be with us:
Branda is a fashion designer who enjoys transforming clothes. Besides that, she works as an interior decorator, what is a perfect combination and mindset to also upcycle textiles into home décor.

What will we do:
This time we will transform and/or embellish sweaters. We propose a few projects we have made and loved, but we are pleased to hear about any other idea you want to try. Our proposals to Transform, all with easy hand sewing:
FASHION _ Sweater into Poncho & scarf or beanie
HOME DÉCOR _ Sweater into Cushion cover

Our proposals to Embellish:

• Any made with yarn, pompoms, pockets, patches, hoodies, embroidery…
• Lace or other fabrics applications
• Beads and stones

Choosing and planning:
Please get in contact with us as soon as you decide to join so we can plan well for your project.
Depending on your style, what you like, and the sweater you want to transform, we will see with you which ideas work better.
Some embellishment elements will be available for you to be bought during the workshop but we can help you find any other you like if we discuss before.
You are also welcome to join our 'visits to Sham Shui Po', to choose from a larger range.

Cost:
180 HKD
(100 HKD deposit to confirm; please send a meetup message or whatsapp to 61677406 for details)
30 HKD reduction for your next session, whenever you decide to book again (we will try to be around often to keep making, going on with sweaters also next 28 Feb and 7 March)

Also, in case you don’t have time but would like to see one of your sweaters embellished or made into something else, just let us know.

Our goal:
We want you to love both, first the experience and skills you acquire, and second, the restyled unique piece you bring back home (what also means some resources saved, so… great for nature and great for all us at a time!).
