The Topic = EFFECTIVE PEER-PEER FEEDBACK
Sharing feedback is never easy, but always necessary in order to be better teammates and collaborators. It gets even harder when trying to navigate different communication and recognition styles. Let's talk about how to get better at it with our peers through questions like...
- How do you share feedback without damaging relationships?
- How can you improve the way you receive feedback?
- How can you request feedback and make it meaningful / useful?
- How do you know if you have the skills you need to get your feedback across effectively?
- How do you know if you were heard the way you meant it?
Bring your sticking points, questions, and experiences to share with peers and we'll brainstorm ways to get through them together.
ABOUT THAT DESIGN MEETUP
Many events in Seattle target early-career development and career changes, but there isn't much out there serving mid-to-senior level digital product designers. We’d like to change that. That Design Meetup (formerly known as Seattle Design Office Hours) creates a space for designers who already have a few years under their belt to meet, advise, and learn with each other. This is a place to hang out, share our experience, and support our fellow Seattle digital product designers who are further along in our careers.
That Design Meetup takes place once a quarter at Substantial on Capitol Hill. Nearest cross-street is Pine and Broadway. The entrance is just to the right of Sugarpill across the street from Molly Moon. Dial 202 on the intercom and someone will buzz you in!
