What we're about

Hi all! For the past couple years, I have focused solely on reading the classics, getting to know the canon (see list below). As far as fiction goes, it's pretty much all I read these days. And that's not to say there isn't a lot of great, contemporary fiction. It's just not my focus right now. I'd love to read and discuss these with others on a monthly basis but am wondering if anyone else out there in the ether is interested. Hello? :)

FUTURE reads on my list: Henderson the Rain King - Bellow, A Tale of Two Cities - Dickens, Don Quixote - Cervantes, The Call of the Wild - London. Suggestions?

PAST reads include: Brave New World - Huxley, The Count of Monte Cristo - Dumas, Crime & Punishment - Dostoevsky, Sister Carrie - Dreiser, Steppenwolf - Hesse, Gone with the Wind - Mitchell, The Picture of Dorian Grey - Wilde, Of Human Bondage - Maugham, Anna Karenina - Tolstoy, Frankenstein - Shelley, Wuthering Heights - Bronte, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer - Twain, Farenheit 451 - Bradbury etc Other authors I love: Virginia Woolf, Grace Paley, Denis Johnson, George Elliot, Kate Chopin
