What we're about

The purpose of The 50-Hour League is to provide gay male couples regular opportunities to become friends with other gay male couples.

Why "50 Hours"? It takes that long for a friendship to root. (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/brain-waves/201803/how-do-you-make-or-maintain-friends-put-in-the-time)

To be able to make friends, people need reliable, persistent interactions. The League hosts various low-pressure recreational activities every month that give couples the opportunity to meet and bond.

Please note, the League is not intended to be forum for hook-ups or business networking.

We look forward to getting to know you.

Chinese Food Lunch and Escape The Room

602 Kearny St

Hello League Members, Join your fellow couples in North Beach for an afternoon of Chinese food and/or playing an escape-the-room game. Sunday, March 10 12:00pm – 1:30pm House of Nanking http://houseofnanking.net/ 919 Kearny St., SF Price: Á la carte This is one of Tom’s favorite restaurants. The chef was trained at the Cordon Bleu, and the food is terrific. Each table informs the waiter how much money they want to spend and the waiter brings dishes of the chef’s choosing. It never disappoints. 1:30pm-3:00pm EscapeSF https://www.escapesf.net/ 602 Kearny St., SF Price: $30 PER PERSON Escape rooms are great fun, a riveting way to play together and create a shared memory. Escape SF has four rooms, each with a theme: speakeasy, art gallery, prison, or spaceship. Up to six people per room collaborate to try to escape within 90 minutes by solving puzzles, each one providing a clue to the next, in order to find the exit. Clues are provided by loudspeaker when the team gets stuck. RSVP by February 24. A non-refundable payment is required to hold your reservation. No payment is required to reserve a seat for lunch. Maximum capacity: 12 couples Suggested parking at Saint Mary’s Square Garage, 433 Kearny St.
