Chakras (Sanskrit: wheel, circle, cycle) Chakra in esoteric Jainism means yogic-energy centres; these centres are various focal points in the subtle body. Chakras are also understood to be embedded within the actual physical body, while also impacting upon mental and spiritual fields. Yoga encompasses various practices designed to transmute these subtle energy points, such as breathing exercises, visualisations, mudras, bandhas, instruments, smudging, physical postures and mantras.

Ancient meditative traditions share the view of the importance of cleansing, improving and focussing on the Chakras to assist the inner growth of an individual. Our new workshops will follow a well-trodden path used by ancient cultures for thousands of years.

What to expect:

Each session will have a distinctly different flavour and encompass elements from below.

1. Sound, Gong Baths, Chanting, Drumming, Bowls and Rattles
2. Breathing exercises - Pranayama
3. Vibrational cleansing & its importance - Smudging, Sound etc
4. Yoga Poses
5. Hand gestures - Mudras
6. Nature Therapy & Grounding
7. Meditation
8. Body locks - Bandhas

Saturday, January 26th - Root and Sacral Chakras
Saturday, February 9th - Solar Plexus and Heart Chakras
Saturday, March 16th - Throat and Third Eye Chakras
Saturday, March 23rd - Crown Chakra

£22 a session or £79 for the series of four. (When paid directly by bank transfer).

PRICE: £22 paid direct in advance by bank transfer. £24 on the day.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Please give us 72 hours notice if you are unable to attend. We will issue a full refund minus any online charges. Tickets are non transferable.

Concessions: PLEASE, CONTACT US FOR DETAILS. We will ask for evidence of eligibility. We do not turn anyone away from our events who have a genuine need for a reduced price ticket.

WHAT TO BRING:

We provide yoga mats, blankets, pillows, and eye masks. We advise you to bring a bottle of water.

FINDING US:

Type Harry Edwards Healing Sanctuary into Google Maps. Sat Navs don’t normally work very well. If you find Burrows Lea farm, Burrows Lea house is the next one along and the one you need.

There is a large free car park on the right of the long drive. Please follow the signs to reception. Reception will point you in the right direction.

ADVISE FOR BEFORE AND AFTER THE EVENT:

We advise you to eat two or more hours before the event and drink plenty of water after the event. We also encourage you to wear loose fitting clothes for your comfort.

Minors: Please, our events are aimed at adults 18+.

Medical conditions/prescribed medications/pregnancy: We advise those who are pregnant to abstain from our events. If you have any medical conditions, are on a prescribed medication, or have any concerns, please, see your GP and inform him/her about attending our yoga & gong sessions, this will allow your GP to give appropriate advice. If you currently experience or have a history of serious health issues (including mental health issues, operations, medical procedures, seizures, implants, special needs), please, inform us before the event. Informing us will help us look after you.
