Let's get together for an evening of conversation and song in an informal setting. We will have a pianist available to play. Bring sheet music for a couple of songs and maybe some group singalong songs. We will have some light refreshments - feel free to bring something to nosh or drink. Space is limited. Please indicate what songs you plan to be performing. Location will be in the UWS. Address will be sent out to "Yes" RSVP the night before. We look forward to seeing you!
ASPS is organizing and outreach concert in central Brooklyn at the ADAPT Center for their youth group from pre-teens to young adults and their families. They all have cerebral palsy with physical and some with mental limitations. We have been requested to perform familiar, popular, rhythmic, interactive songs where they can clap or hum along. There is an upright piano at the site. We will have a pianist and percussionist at the site. Those who are interested in performing, please email [masked] IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not open to the public and due to facility privacy rules, only performers will be allowed.
Dear Singers, ACMA (Association of Classical Musicians and Artists) is having their annual performance at the beautiful Zankel Hall on November 16, 2019. As part of our diverse program, we are performing the a cappella version of Samuel Barber's Agnus Dei (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRL447oDId4). There will be several rehearsals in the months leading up to the concert. We have some space for additional singers- if anyone is interested in this opportunity, or for more information, please contact the choral director, Alberto, at [masked]
