Moscow/Pullman Area Artist Federation: Evening Edition
We are going to start talking about the very useful art/business book, I'd Rather Be In the Studio, by Alyson Stanfield. (Available online if you can't find it in a local bookstore). Join in on the conversation even if you haven't read the book -- the rest of us will have lots to say. Also: start thinking about how to best answer the often-asked question: "What kind of art do you make?" We will begin to practice becoming articulate when answering this stress-inducing question. If we can answer the question well, people should be dying to look at our art.

What we're about

A professional–entrepreneurial skills and collaboration network for visual artists. This group is for professional, working artists (e.g. you've sold some work, but you need to take your career to the next level). Exchange best practices, collaborate on conditioning the market and growing our own professional practices. Focus on the business side of your practice, that isn't necessarily part of fine arts education. This chapter collaborates with other chapters across the US and internationally. The Artist Federation is artist organized, consists of artist-formed chapters, and is backed by The Clark Hulings Fund for visual artists.
