"Artists are visionaries. We routinely practice a form of faith, seeing clearly and moving toward a creative goal that shimmers in the distance - often visible to us, but invisible to those around us. Difficult as it is to remember, it is our work that creates the market, not the market that creates our work. Art is an act of faith, and we practice practicing it."
- Julia Cameron
'The Artist's Way - A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity' is a book by Julia Cameron which is inspiring and it contains a 12 week course in Discovering and Recovering Your Creative Life. Its self-explanatory and it contains exercises for each week. From Morning Journals to Artist's Date it is a great way to find your inner Creative You. Come join me in this inner journey to recover creativity where we like-minded people could meet and track our progress every week.
This week we courageously open ourselves to feelings that may have previously limited our creative potential and reclaim the energy of our own power.
Read Chapter 3, continue with morning pages and a weekly artist date, and complete at least some of the Chapter 3 exercises.
This week invites introspection about our real feelings, versus our "official" feelings, challenging us to discover where they could guide us.
Write daily morning pages, read chapter 4 and engage some of the exercises, and go on your artist date to prepare for this week's meeting.
This week, our work clearing out blocks prepares us to question the limits we have set for ourselves and reacquaint us with our source -- of creativity, inspiration, spiritual connection, and even vitality.
Write your morning pages daily, complete an artist date, read chapter 5 and complete some of the exercises to prepare for this weeks group.
