Please note this is a free Virtual (online) Meetup open to all BBE members, as we continue to follow guidance from the Government over social distancing. We want to continue to support people to come together as a community and feel less isolated. Access to the event is via a password only (see more info below) and numbers are restricted. TO HAVE FUN, FEEL ENGAGED AND TEST THE GREY MATTER HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO, TO JOIN IN ..... 1. To have access to the internet - we recommend you download the free Zoom BASIC package https://zoom.us/pricing 24 hours beforehand. It takes 5 mins. Read the Zoom.us privacy and security T&Cs. TIP: Read https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-Joining-a-Meeting 2. Check your Meetup Inbox Message Profile Settings. This allows the Host to send you a private message with the link and password to the event at least 1 hour beforehand. If your privacy setting is set to 'no message' then you will be unable to join in. For cyber security reasons we do not send the log in details through any other channel. 4. To follow the etiquette rules below (or you will be removed). 5. The Quiz Master may need to cancel at short notice, due to the uncertainties of the current health situation. EVENT SCHEDULE: If this Meetup page shows you as 'going' at the time of issuing the log in details you will be sent a password and the link to the 'meeting' via Meetup Private Messages at least 1 hour beforehand. You will need to click the link, add the password and hey-presto! No private message function = we will not send you the details. You have been warned. The on-line event will open 10 minutes early to allow people to log in, try and sort out any technical issues, get themselves a pen and paper, and drink. 1. Intro from Sarah or Andy who will run through the housekeeping. 2. A Quiz Master will then start the Quiz (Usually 6 topics, minimum 30 questions) 3. Once the Quiz has finished, there will be a 30 min opportunity to chat as a community. You don't have to stay for this section of the event if you would prefer not to. We will not be offended if you choose to leave. EVENT ETIQUETTE: - Always identify yourself. There are opportunities to interact during the event so first state the name of the person whom you are addressing - Respect the Host and especially the Quiz Master who has taken the time and effort to create the questions. Challenges on any of the answers is unacceptable as this is for FUN!!! - Be on time at the start. Stay on the Quiz section from start to finish. - Don't worry about your appearance you are not on a film set, but please dress respectfully. Don't sit too near the screen and think of what others are seeing behind you (no window/bright lights/offensive material/background noise, etc) - People in the same household on the event night are able to join in, but we ask you use the same piece of equipment please. - Be culturally aware and supportive of peoples differences (or the Host will ask you to leave and block you from future events) THE SMALL PRINT (Please read): - Cyber, Data and Personal security is your responsibility - be aware and take precautions - The software and hardware is your responsibility - you should contact your supplier/provider- it is not a Host responsibility to resolve them for you. - Do not pass on the log on details to other people. We have people on the waiting list and it is not fair when others jump the queue without the Hosts agreement.
Join me for a nature walk starting from Troopers Hill Nature Reserve, walking to Dundridge Lane Park and then onwards to Conham River Park for a picnic. Approx 4 miles, one set of steep steps up and one steep climb up through the woods. We will take the steep bits very slowly with plenty of stops. Some exposed roots and loose stones in the woods so please wear suitable footwear with ankle support. Please bring a picnic and something to sit on as the picnic benches at the river park may be busy. Please observe Covid-19 regulations to keep yourself and others safe.
