The hackathon addresses the OASIS standardizations of Legal Rule Markup (LegalRuleML) and Legal Document Markup (LegalDocumentML) (https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/legaldocml/charter.php) which are part of the OASIS LegalXML member section. The hackaton groups will work on selected acts, regulations, and bills and will mark them up. A particular focus of the Berlin Semantic Web Meetup group is on United States patent law (http://www.uspto.gov/patents/law/) and title 35 of the United States Code, considering also new Leahy-Smith America Invents Act (AIA) (http://www.uspto.gov/aia_implementation/).
Since this a hackathon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackathon), please bring your labtop with you!
