Ghost Signs walking tour of Birmingham's Historic Jewellery & Gun Quarter

This is a free ghost signs walking tour which starts in the Jewellery Quarter and ends at The Gunmakers Arms in the historic Gun Quarter which is just on the edge of Birmingham city centre. The guided walk takes around 2.5 hours. There will be lots of opportunities to see some of the best ghost signs in Birmingham.
Ghost signs are old advertising signs hand-painted directly on to a buildings brick work. They provide an ongoing glimpse back to the past. Put simple its - history written on the walls for us all too see and enjoy.

There is no upfront charge for attending the walk they are donation based so it will be up to you at the end of the walk if you wish to offer payment based on your experience. Payments will go towards helping to document Birmingham's ghost signs and opening up access for more people to enjoy them.

The walk is mainly flat and suitable for people with good mobility due to the need to walk across a large area mainly on narrow streets.

The walk ends in the fabulous and recently refurbished The Gunmakers Arms, 92 Bath Street where you will be able to purchase refreshments and hopefully join us for a well deserved drink.
