12 Hours of Festive Gaming/Thieving Secret Santa

Salutations,

You may have noticed that 12 Hours of Gaming is falling a bit earlier in the month than usual, due to the Xmas holidays and New Year's Eve falling on the weekend. We're hoping that everyone can make it out for our special Festive Gaming on December 17th.

We thought that this year we'd do something new, and have a Secret Thieving Santa. What this means is that you will bring a gift, of $10-15 value. It doesn't have to be game related - it could be something funny, serious, practical, useless, new, refurbished, beautiful to anyone, or beautiful to just you (or hysterically ugly, if you prefer). Ideally it's something that most of us can appreciate. Your gift should be wrapped, with no indication of who it's from or who it's for (thus, the "secret" part of Secret Santa). Then, we will draw for gift order. On your turn, you have two choices: you can either take a wrapped gift, or you can steal a gift that someone has already opened (the "thieving" part of Thieving Secret Santa). Don't worry if your gift is stolen, you'll have a chance to choose a new gift.

We'll aim to have the Secret Santa at around 7 PM, so you'll have plenty of time to sleep in that day, trim your Xmas tree, wrap your present, bake your cookies, sing some carols (as you're driving to the store, we assume), and play some games before this superfuntime activity begins.

  See you there,
