Detroit Burns Club annual dinner-dance to honor the poetry of Scottish poet Robert Burns. Burns wrote in the 1700's and is widely considered to be the "national poet of Scotland". Some of his famous poems:

Comin' Thro the Rye (1782)
Halloween (1785)
Auld Lang Syne (1788)
A Red Red Rose (1794)
