What we're about
The Boston Synagogue is the only synagogue located in downtown Boston with Shabbat services 52 weeks a year plus holidays & Passover. Our mission is to serve the needs of the diverse body of Jews living in downtown Boston.
We are unaffiliated, post-denominational egalitarian, where both women and men are active participants in the service. There is an openness to all and it’s a place where people across Jewish denominations can make their own spiritual connections.
Besides holding weekly services, we also have monthly Friday Night Community Shabbat Dinners and a growing group for Young Professionals who meet monthly over wine & cheese to discuss hot Jewish topics.
We hold a variety of different adult ed classes, have a once-a-week Hebrew school for children starting at age 5, and much more!
All events take place at 55 Martha Road in Boston, MA - a quick walk from North Station on the Orange and Green Lines, Science Park on the Green Line, and Charles MGH on the Red Line. Parking available.
