Show & Tell: DIVVY Data Challenge

Details

We're excited for the first data visualization show & tell. The meetup will be dedicated to several speakers discussing their visualizations. The inaugural show & tell will be devoted to the DIVVY Data Challenge (https://divvybikes.com/datachallenge). Several individuals submitted data visualizations of DIVVY usage (http://wbezdata.tumblr.com/post/79588560752/first-look-at-some-divvy-data-entries) in Chicago. Five invited guests will present their visualizations, followed by lightening talks for anyone else who submitted visualizations.

We will be joined by five creators of visualizations for the challenge:

• Drew DePriest (http://drewdepriest.com/divvy/)

• Michael Freeman (from Seattle) (http://mkfreeman.github.io/divvy/)

• Shaun Jacobson (http://transitized.com/2014/03/03/divvy-spokes/)

• Gabe Gaster (http://divvy.datasco.pe/)

We will have an excellent opportunity to explore the creative process across projects with a similar mission.
