Human-centered design and data analytics intersect when designing products and services that influence behavior change through data insights. These projects require integrated teams that are able to move fluidly between quantitative and qualitative methods to answer key user and business questions. Ann Conway will share real case studies of how design and data science practitioners can work together to improve outcomes and amplify each others' work.
Ann is a design strategist who works with organizations worldwide to solve messy problems at the intersection of user needs, business opportunity and data. She is an Adjunct Faculty at IIT Institute of Design and teaches the course "Designing Data Driven Services". Previously, she served as Senior Design Strategist with Allstate Innovation, where she worked on cross-functional data and design teams to launch new businesses from strategic data platforms.
