Get to know DevOps!
Dear Code Pub Ladies, flying a space station in space is not actually flying - it’s falling while moving forward that fast that you “miss” the earth the whole time. You’re moving in a so called orbit, an approximately closed elliptic path which can be described by Kelpler’s laws of planetary motion. E.g. the second law can be used to show that if you accelerate your space station or satellite you won’t change you current position for the next round, but you will be further away at the opposite site from the central mass (eg. earth) and therefore slower. Well that was rocket science. Some terms will be forgotten soon, some terms might be new for you but every single one is worth knowing if you plan to fly a rocket at some point in you life. DevOps is not rocket science but there are enough topics you have probably never heard of which might become relevant once you move in this direction. So come and join us to learn about what “DevOps” is, how it works and what Do's and Don'ts there are. No prior knowledge required - just bring your laptop! Schedule: 18:00 - 18:30 Snacks & Mingle Time 18:30 - 18:35 Introduction 18:35 - 20:00 DevOps Workshop by Ines Maazi & Niharika Mittal 20:00 - Open End Mingle Time As always RSVP to our Meetup event (of course everything is for free) and feel free to bring a female friend who is curious about development or working within IT! :) We are looking forward to see you all and end this years Code Pub Munich season with a great evening full of new insights!

What we're about

For us competence has no gender. The future is equal, and we’re creating it. To rapidly improve gender equality at Netlight and in the IT industry overall, we have initiated a strategy to increase the amount of women within IT and management consultancy. Being a successful company in a male dominated industry, what we do will have an impact. We want to change the world. JOIN US NOW.

The Code Pub was created by Netlight in the spring of 2013 with the purpose of increasing the number of women in the IT industry. It is for every woman who has an interest in or is curious about IT and open for beginners as well as professionals. We will have different events during the year where you can meet at the Netlight office with other cool women from whom you can learn and get inspired. This group is made for you and you are all welcome to post, discuss and share your thoughts and ideas here.
