Plans for OGDE Demo CD? (cancelled)

As I brought up at yesterday's meeting, I've been kicking around an idea for a CD-R of games and demos to give away to registered attendees at the Ohio Game Developer Expo in two weeks. A PC Gamer style demo disc would give our attendees something to play with when they get home and remind them that we've got games for sale. If there's enough interest and I do it myself, it'd likely be a white CD-R with a small sticker for a label and a folder for each project, maybe with a simple web page front end with links to the demos and web sites. If someone can do a better launcher or a better way to make a large amount of CD-Rs, let me know in this thread.

I plan to keep this to mostly Windows games and demos, though I might add some trailers, videos, and music if there's space to fill. I only have 700MB to work with, so please don't include something huge.

If you'd like something included on the disc, post here with a link to your game's home page and download link for the game or demo to send. For example:

The Adventures of Thong Girl Windows Demo 3 (87.67MB)

Edit: Meh, I brought up the idea way too late and there wasn't much interest, so no CD this time. It was worth a shot, though.

That's a great idea! If you want to include our demo that'd be very nice. Here's the link:

Hi Jonathan,

Bummer we couldn't get to this in time. We're working to gain more traction on this thread a bit more. I'll close this down for now but please do post another discussion for this year if you would like to so something for OGDE 2014. I'm a member of the board and can help voice this interest.
