Join Conductor for our May Game Changer conversation as we chat with Curtis Barnett! This is a special Game Changers as it falls during the Health Sciences Entrepreneurship Boot Camp. Game Changers will be streamed live for the public.
Curtis Barnett serves as president and chief executive officer for Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield. He has spoken nationally on such subjects as the importance of private and public collaboration for changing how healthcare services are reimbursed and the role of health plans in addressing the social determinants of health, especially food insecurity. Prior to his election as president and CEO in 2017, Barnett served as senior vice president of Internal Operations for Arkansas Blue Cross and as president and CEO of its wholly-owned subsidiary company, USAble Corporation.
Nationally, Barnett serves on the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association Board of Directors and as chairman of the Board of Managers for Blue Health Intelligence, a healthcare data analytics and solutions company. He also serves as vice-chair for the Board of Directors for the National Institute for Healthcare Management. Locally, he serves on several industry and community boards of directors, including the University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees, the dean’s executive advisory board for the University of Arkansas Walton College of Business, and the executive committee for the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as vice-chair. Barnett received a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Arkansas, a master's degree in public administration from the University of Arkansas and is a graduate of the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management's Advanced Executive Program.
Join us for the last day of the Health Sciences Entrepreneurship Boot Camp! Demo Day is a morning full of campers' presentations on the health science venture they spent the week creating.
Each team will have 5 minutes to present and 5 minutes of Q&A from judges.
There will be a break from 10:05 - 10:20 a.m.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this will be a virtual event. All are welcome to watch and cheer on your favorite team.
Demo Day will end in an announcement of awards and top teams!
