A sacred space in Amsterdam, where our entire schedule is hosted in English, providing a conscious lifestyle hub for expats to meet, connect and share with each other. Join us in these monthly gatherings where we will journey through the 8 chakras. We will explore each chakra to experience more healing, balance, and harmony in each chakra.

Have you ever experience tingles during your Kundalini Class? These can be signs of movement within a certain chakra.

Each month we will explore and journey through each energy centre. We will use, breath work, mantra, mudras and meditation to gain more insights and deeper understanding about each specific chakra. Clearing blocks and inviting healing, balance and harmony in all of them. So you can live by your I Am I Am - ness

Our physical body, mental bodies and energetic bodies tell us a story. They are encoded with life experiences. Processing these experiences is vital to let the energy move and flow freely.

If don't allow ourselves to process our lives experiences, energy gets stagnated and blocked. As a result we can feel too blocked, stuck in a situation, feeling ill or feeling shut down from life.

In these monthly Chakra Journeys you will be lovingly and safely guided in your practice to clear blocks, to cleanse and purify past experiences and to cultivating energy whilst you gain deep insights and awareness. So you feel joyful, light, bright and in deep connection with your beautiful Self and all around you

ABOUT BUDDHISM

Buddhism is much more than just a handful of meditations. These ancient teachings are in fact of all times, still very applicable to our present experience. I myself experienced a great sense of relief and a joy of recognition when I started to learn about it.

The Buddha Gautama by his own introspection gained deep insight in how the human mind works. He understood that suffering is an inevitable aspect of life. We gain and lose, enjoy and suffer, succeed and fail, and in any case, grow old to die eventually. No-one can escape this. But what the Buddha clearly saw, is that the degree of suffering we experience mostly depends on our attachment to feelings and opinions. As long as we desire to have things differently than they are, we will experience a sense of struggle and unfulfillment.

The good news is, there is a way out! It is possible to flow with life with all its ups and downs, and not get stuck in our ideas about it.

To hear that life is not so satisfactory to the majority of people - and in fact, kind of a struggle - can be a great relief. There is nothing wrong with you in particular, it's not that you are the only one who is not getting it right... you are just discovering that life is mostly uncontrollable.

If you can accept this, it ceases to be a problem.

The Buddha knew how to expound his wisdom in a clear and direct way, always adapting his manner of speaking to his audience. Buddhist Psychology, therefore, is elaborate and precise; it covers all aspects of the human experience.

About the facilitator:

Ciska Matthes is a keen student of Buddhism for about 25 years. She has practiced intensively under many teachers in various traditions worldwide. In her talk, she will refer to her own experiences and make you practice a little introspection yourself as well.

The Wim Hof Method is similar to Tummo (inner heat) Meditation and Pranayama (yogic breathing). Yet it is something else entirely. While Wim has read a lot of books on yoga and meditation for many years, this technique primordially comes from what he terms ‘cold hard nature’. By subjecting himself to the bitter conditions of nature, he learned to withstand the extreme forces of cold, heat and fear. If you learn this method or technique correctly, it will empower you to do the same.

Tension accumulates in the body due to underuse or overuse of muscles, repetitive movements, emotional repression or a poor diet. Accumulated tension can increase body toxicity and weaken the immune system.
