What we're about

Public Group

Are you one of those people who want to know what you really love and start doing what you really love?

My vision for the Cowichan Connectors is to create a community of people who want to enhance their life and the lives of others through acknowledging and finding each other's strengths. I want people to enjoy each other's company and know that they are accepted and worthy just because they are on this planet.

I want positive, fun loving, caring people to get together for exercise, fun, laughter and enjoy each other's company in a stress free environment.

Come join us as we try out different activities with other like minded people. Join us for walks, cooking, hiking, dining, knitting, meal preparation, biking, kayaking, Sunday family walks, progressive dinners, fundraising for charities, bowling, movies and theatre productions. Let's make meaningful connections and have fun.

The Cowichan Connectors is for couples, singles, everyone is welcome, no matter your age or background.

My vision for this club stemmed from a profound experience I had four years ago while visiting the Myanmar people in Watchet, a small farming community north of Saiging. I was the only caucasian in the community but I felt their unconditional love for me. Even though I couldn't speak the language they invited me into their homes, shared their food, took me on boat rides and made me feel worthy. I remember looking over the village and thinking they may live in poverty but they are rich in spirit, community and connectedness. They have what our culture is searching for. Can we bring that same connectedness into our culture, I believe we can and I am willing to give it my best shot.
