‘Round Four’ The Evolution of CI/CD (Jenkins vs Circle CI vs Azure DevOps/AWS CodeDeploy)
After the amazing success of ‘Round Three’ the Battle of the Clouds, we soon fell into to discussion about what the community would like to see next. We are happy to announce that the next event will see our speakers stoke the fires and debate about the Evolution of CI/CD. I know there are a lot of tools in this space, but we have decided to talk to you about Jenkins, Circle CI and Azure DevOps/AWS CodeDeploy.
Save the date for Tuesday 5th February, doors will be opening at 6pm with the talks due to start around 6:30pm. We will once again be in the amazing WeWork space No1 Spinningfields, Quay Street, Manchester, M3 3JE.
The evening will consist of three talks from our technical experts:
Dave Mason - Head of Software Engineering at LADbible, will be talking to us about some of the great work they have been doing with Circle CI
Tina Howell- Platform Lead at AND Digital, will be talking to us about her wealth of knowledge working with Jenkins CI
Charles Brook - Senior Consultant at Infinity Works, will be talking to us about his experiences with some of the newest tools on the block Azure DevOps/AWS tools
They will be talking to us all about their chosen CI tools and the pros and cons that come with using them. As always we will break into our workshops where everyone has chance to either share their experiences or just listen to others talk about theirs. Then using our live voting app, we will ask you all in the community to tell us who you’ve been most interested in hearing about and which tool your most likely to use moving forward. Then we will be able to crown our champion of CI/CD.
As always food and refreshments will be provided by myself and the Mortimer Spinks team. We have listened to you feedback and understand a few people missed out last time, so this will now be delivered in two separate helpings with nibbles at the start and then Pizzas during the workshops.
Please make sure to save your seats now and we look forward to seeing you there … it’s going to be a good one #BringThePopcorn
