What we're about

Join our Düsselgamers discord: https://discord.gg/bJZwbjStGn – if you are enthusiastic about playing board games, card games, role playing games, or any other kinds of games, and you would like to meet other people who enjoy it too, join our events!

You are invited to sign up (RSVP) for any of the events posted here. Most events have more of an English-speaking crowd, though some are more German-focused - usually you can tell by the title and description of the event. If you don't speak any German at all, you'll still be welcome, just let the people at the event know!

Feel free to make your own events – any group member can schedule an event. If you are playing in a public space (e.g. a restaurant), just make sure that you reserve a table and that the staff is OK with games being played :) Please check out our group policies (https://www.meetup.com/The-Dusseldorf-Boardgamers-Meetup-Group/pages/30812451/Group_Policies/) before signing up for events!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the (co-)organizers.

Weekly Board Game Meetings in Flingern (Düsseldorfer Spieleabend)

Needs a location

Hello again! We are hosting weekly board game events in the restaurant "Lu Fung" :)

The restaurant is located in Flingern, in the upper level of the B8 Center - next to the grocery store Lidl.

While the event is mostly attended by german players, there will probably be enough people able to speak English so that non-german speakers may attend as well. The meetup is for free, but of course, the restaurant would be grateful if you order drinks and/or food. You may bring games and friends as you like - as said, the place is large enough.

The events are also posted on Facebook - www.facebook.com/groups/brettspielen - therefore the number of people attending will be larger than indicated here on meetup. You will also find pictures of the last events in our facebook group.

Because of the public holiday we already meet at 2 pm. Feel free to join. And in case of any questions, dont hesitate to ask :-)

Planning your attendance
We recommend to be there on time, or a few minutes earlier - since the attendees decide about what to play and sit down shortly after 8 pm. If you are late, please let us know - otherwise it could happen that you might have to wait until a group finishes, until you could jump in.

Board Games @Hotel Moxy Oststraße

Needs a location

This is a biweekly meetup at the hotel lobby Moxy. All levels of boardgamers are welcome! We speak mostly German and English. I look forward to seeing you there! :) Some FAQs below - you know the drill by now ;)

Where can I find you?
This hotel was just recently opened. It is bright, colourful and has large tables, which are perfect even for larger games that don't fit on the usual tables! Just go straight through the entrance of the hotel and you will see the big wooden table to the right, reserved for "Spieleabend"

What about fees?
There is no attendance fee. However, each guest should at least buy one drink or food since the hotel is reserving the table for us.

Talking about food...
You can bring your own snacks and drinks. Just keep in mind to buy some stuff from the hotel (see above).

Do I need to bring Games?
You don't have to! But if you can, use the chance to try something new or an old favourite! The hotel only has very few simple games at hand.

Limits of time and space
The Wooden Table we have is limited to about 15 people. A few more can use the smaller tables around.
There is no time limit. The hotel bar is open until late at night.
