An April Foodies be determined
It is time that we got back out there eating and chatting. I'm thinking of planning an event in April. I have a few ideas but would love your suggestions. You can use the comments below or send me an email through the Meetup system. I am open to going somewhere that we have been or somewhere new. I will stay open to your suggestions for a week or so and then set something up and announce it. Mountainsidegal3

    What we're about

Interested in gustatory delights? Whether you call yourself an epicure, a gastronome, a gourmet, or a foodie, our restaurant meetup group may be the place for you. In small groups we will visit a broad variety of restaurants in the greater Asheville area). Have you been somewhere wonderful you’d like to share with friends? Or have you read about some place new to try? It’s an ever changing scene here. These will be eating adventures.

Your organizers will share their favorites or set up meals at places that we've heard about. Or you can be a host for an evening at the place of your choice (we will provide more information on how to do this as we get going)

There are no limitations on cost or the number of people dining. However, if a place is known to be on the pricier side, that should be listed as part of the announcement of the meetup. We also feel that smaller groups are better for conversations and we encourage our hosts/hostesses to keep that in mind. Restaurants may be in outlying towns like Hendersonville or Black Mountain, or even farther. If you are the host you are responsible for the eating adventure, including answering questions.

The organizers of this meetup will be at many of the meetups but we hope there will be so many eating adventures that we may not be able to attend all of them......

For each event we will identify whether separate checks will be available. When separate checks are not available, we will encourage event organizers to have the attending gustatorians bring cash to facilitate the payment of the bill.

Often we will indicate in the description some way of identifying others when meeting. One of the ways is a "bamboo head" that may be sitting on a table. If that is the identifier, you can find a picture of it in the photos.

Also, after each meetup attendees will be asked to participate in a poll rating the dining experience. Results of these polls are available under the "More" tab at the top of our Meetup page.
