Sci-fi Book Group (3rd Wednesdays)

A regular book group night to discuss sci-fi and expand our reading horizons!

November's topic is "Space Opera" - those large tomes of science fiction spanning multiple characters and locations. Think Lord of the Rings in space.

Some suggestions of books to read:
Peter F Hamilton - The Dreaming Void (Void Trilogy)
Iain M Banks - Consider Phlebas (The Culture novels)
Orson Scott Card - Ender's Game
John Scalzi - Old Man's War
Peter F Hamilton - The Reality Dysfunction (The Night's Dawn Trilogy)
Adrian Tchaiovsky - The Children of Time

Choose one, or pick anything in the space opera genre, read it and we can discuss it.

The next topic (for the December bookgroup) might be hive minds, AI, first encounters etc - we'll decide on the next depending on people's interests.
