What we're about

The Glacial Trail Running Group is a diverse group of runners who like to run all distances and speeds, and also like to motivate their fellow runners to meet and exceed their running goals. This group is perfect for runners of all skill levels. We run all year long irrespective of how warm or cold it is.

The new name for the group as of Fall 2016 reflects the current members love of trail running. Most of our Meetups and events involve a run on trails. However most of our members run on roads during the week and will do road races of varying lengths. In fact we've got some really fast road runners in the group right now.

New trail runners are very welcome to join us. You'll be hooked on the beauty and challenge of the area trails.

Membership fee is $5 per year and is due at time of joining and then every year thereafter. The dues are required to keep the Meetup group active on the site. Other than that funds are used for various outings or activities throughout the year.

We hope you find a run that fits your schedule and we look forward to seeing you soon!!

Sincerely,

The Glacial Trail Running Team

Lapham Peak State Park

I thought I'd throw this on the calendar, even though it's not really our group. Many of us have run with the Lapham Peak Trail Runners (LPTR) over the years. I highly recommend getting to know this group. They run every Wednesday at 5PM.

Lapham Peak Trail Run and **Winter Birthday Potluck**

Lapham Peak State Park

Hey everyone, just a few things: 1. Note that we meet in the Evergreen Parking Lot, which is the first lot on the right. 2. We typically run about 7 miles. If you want to run fewer miles, you can turn around at any point. If you want to run further, you can tack on some miles before or after our 9:00 run. 3. It is a state park, so you need a park sticker or day pass, which you can buy as you enter. Buying a sticker is a good deal if you plan on going to a state park more than 4 times within the year. 4. We always have a 5 minute grace period, so we're off and running by 9:05. If you know you're running a little behind, just post on this page and we'll know to wait for you. We'd hate to leave anyone behind:)
