Details
For our next Meetup, on Sunday, September 30, Stuart Hirsch will present a half-hour video about photographer O. Winston Link, who is best known for his night photographs of the N&W Railroad. His work documents the last days of steam engines on a class 1 railroad in America, and the photographs are considered fine art. He is also noted for his fine audio recordings of steam trains. The video will be followed by open discussion.
We meet the last Sunday of each month, 12:00-2:00. Lunch and socializing are from 12:00-1:00, with the presentation from 1:00-1:30 (sometimes the presentation starts before 1:00), then open discussion from about 1:30-2:00.
Lunch and socializing, with informal presentations and discussions on various subjects related to human values, such as: aspects of society; the arts; social science; current events; nature and evolution; history; science and technology; ethics; philosophy, etc.
