Sit and Knit

We are going to sit, knit and watch some movies. If you don’t know how to knit, come for the knitting lesson from 5:00-5:30. This month we are focusing on making scarves. We will teach you how to cast-on, to knit and to Perl. The movie will begin at 5:30. All ages are welcome. No registration required.

FAQs:

My grandmother taught me how to knit, but I'm still terrible. Do you think you can really teach me?

Yes. Sometimes our parents are more clever than they are good teachers. I have taught about 20 people how to knit and they still knit.

I can't remember how to cast on, is that a problem?

Not really. You only cast on at the beginning of a project and then you get to forget until you finish it. I'll make sure you've got a good YouTube video, just in case, but always feel free to come back and ask me.

Can I just come to watch the movie and do some other kind of crafting?

Absolutely! This event is mostly to get together and socialize. We don't care if you've got a hook or a needle.
