At the Institute of Wines and Spirits Scotland, we're not just about tastings—we're about experiences that linger. Since 1963, we've been curating events that surprise and delight, bringing together novices and connoisseurs alike to explore the world of wines and spirits.
Our gatherings in Edinburgh and Glasgow are more than just sips; they're stories waiting to be told. From blind tastings that challenge your palate to deep dives into biodynamic vintages, each event is a journey into the unexpected.
Our sessions are designed to ignite curiosity and foster connections. The presenters vary from event to event; producers, brand ambassadors, retailers, distillers and Masters of Wine have all come to share their knowledge of the industry.
Whether you're uncorking your first bottle or your hundredth, IWSS offers a welcoming space to learn, taste, and share. Join us, and be part of a community where every glass tells a story.
We have a simple philosophy that is all to do with expanding our knowledge and enjoyment of wines and spirits.
This meetup includes both the tastings organised by the institute and other tastings that members will be attending.
