Free Crash Course: Intro to JavaScript

Overview

Join our Front End Engineering Instructor, Jason Perry (https://www.meetup.com/The-Iron-Yard-Tampa-Bay/members/2975923/) and our Student Engagement Manager, Holly Valenty (https://www.meetup.com/The-Iron-Yard-Tampa-Bay/members/215169340/) for an Intro to JavaScript and learn more about The Iron Yard (http://www.theironyard.com/).

This course assumes no previous knowledge of JavaScript or any other programming language. We'll discover what JavaScript is and where it fits into the world of programming.

Outcomes

We'll do a hands-on workshop where we'll do some actual coding together.

Requirements

• Laptop that is WiFi capable. Laptops are required to complete the course. However, if you do not have one and would simply like to attend as an observer, you're certainly welcomed to sign up and you'll still learn a lot!

• Your favorite text editor (e.g. Sublime Text, Vim or Atom, not a word processor like Word)
