JS Roundabout #19 will take place at Cancer Research UK's offices in Angel, where we'll be discussing Hooks.
Firstly, we will be hearing from Pete Ainsworth, with a brief intro into tech at Cancer Research.
We will then hear from Bill Granfield of Improbable, with a talk entitled "Refactoring a React application to use Hooks" which will include a demonstration of some live coding. The Hooks API enables us to replace many class-based components with simpler functional components. In this talk, we'll refactor stateful class-based components in an existing React application to use Hooks.
Finally, we'll hear from Ramon Balthazar of Bulb with a talk entitled ‘Get Hooked on Hooks – React gets simpler and ready for primetime’ (abtract to follow).
Pizza and beer/wine/soft drinks will be provided as usual - look forward to seeing you all there!
