What we're about

Calling all live music performers looking to jam with other musicians and singers to improve those musical skills!

This structured jam looks at blocking out half the session looking at standard songs and working on versions of covers and the second half is creative jamming. Sign up for either or both.

Challenge yourself by learning new tunes from the song list each month to jam out in the room, or put forward your favourite tunes for others to sign up with, learn and to jam with on the day.

The Jam November - On JamKazam

Online event

When on the JamKazam app - Search the name 'Heidi Udo' and 'Connect'. Send me a message with your name (if different on JamKazam) and note which instrument(s) you'll be playing and I'll invite you into the registered jam group. Here's a landing page with details on how to get setup: https://thecoachingcommunity.com/live-music-sessions-on-jamkazam ============= The Jam Plan ============= 2pm - 5:30pm - Work with charts of standard blues, jazz, pop, rock and soul standards attached in the jam. - Jam with charts nominated by others, or - Work around chord progressions and making it up on the spot (both singers and instrumentalists). =============== Song list sheet: =============== A new set up on the sheet now has allocations for band members by skill level. As JamKazam only works well with a limited number of people, this is to help match musicians as closely as we can with less fuss on the day. If you're new to the sheet, please message over your email address to get access to edit the list; https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ueWInnpE8gTM8I7qroawnh5EZqYS-mmPpQ7YJ1XZZjE/edit?usp=sharing If there is a song on the list you would like to do, but see someone else on, please add a '/' and then your name to rotate players during the jam. Where there are no songs attendees have been put down for, they will be added to the where there is a space. ============== How to prepare for the day ======================== It's all online, which will be very different experience. Working headphones will help prevent feedback into microphones, so will advise using those. Hooking up amps, digital kits or playing live drum kits into the input mic will require testing beforehand. Here's a landing page with details on how to get setup: https://thecoachingcommunity.com/live-music-sessions-on-jamkazam =============== Considerations =============== 1. This event requires willingness and ability to collaborate with others and work as a band. 2. Jammers must come prepared for the songs that they put their names down for. 3. Songs suggested should be suitable for a band set and have chords provided in the spreadsheet for others to learn in advance if not already on the list. The key must be provided for others to learn if different from the original. 4. Instruments must be tuned before starting the jam. 5. The Jamkazam app has been downloaded and tested. Any participants have not passed the internet test are unfortunately unable to join. Any questions, let me know.
