What we're about

Please Join us on Facebook for more real time updates- https://www.facebook.com/groups/jogblogrunningclub/

This a group for anyone interested in running and making new friends. We have a weekly meet-up at the Katy Trail and will normally grab some food and drinks at the Ice House after we run. On the weekends, we like to hit up trails around the city such as Cedar Ridge Preserve, Arbor Hills, Oak Point, and others.

The name Jog Blog comes from one of our members Michael, who has started a website called The Job Blog (www.jogblog.us) where he hopes to one day record every trail run in Texas.

The Return of Monday Runday on the Katy Trail!!! (although the bars are closed!)

SECOND UPDATE 6/27: With the closure of bars statewide, we won't be able to go to the Ice House for food and drinks after the run. They should be open for take-out though. UPDATE 6/22: Dallas County has mandated that face masks be worn inside businesses. A mask is not needed on the trail, or when sitting down at a table and drinking, but it may be required to enter the bar. If you would like to join us at the Ice House after the run, bring a mask! As the state opens up again, it is time to resume our Monday night runs! ** NOTE: We are aware that COVID-19 hasn't gone away. We will spread ourselves out on the trail, but please be aware that the trail can get crowded during warm weather and it is a challenge to maintain social distancing 100% of the time. If you are sick, in a high-risk group, have contact with high-risk people, or are not comfortable running with us yet, please stay home! We look forward to seeing you again when the time is right. ** Every Monday night we meet at the trail entrance by the Katy Trail Icehouse on Routh St. There is a giant red train car called “The Katy” where we meet, so you can’t miss it! This run includes all different levels, from people who run/walk to people who run at a 7-8 min/mile pace. It’s an “out and back” heading north along the Katy Trail which is straight and paved so no one gets lost or left behind. Most of the members run between 2-5 miles round trip. Afterwards we grab drinks and food at The Katy Trail Ice House. Parking can be found on some of the side streets (check Fairmount St and Turtle Creek Blvd) or you can valet at the Ice House. We look forward to seeing you there! Be sure to check us out on Facebook too! https://www.facebook.com/groups/jogblogrunningclub/?ref=share

** CANCELLED AGAIN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE ** Pint Striders Returns!
