What we're about

The Littleport Society hosts monthly talks with a guest speaker, who often talks on topics of local and national historic and cultural interest. These talks are free to attend, and include light refreshments.

The Society is a non-political and non-sectarian volunteer-led organisation that was formed in Littleport, Cambridgeshire, in 1987. It has a large local and international membership, and has run monthly talk nights at Littleport's Village Hall for many years. This Meetup.com group is here to join those attendees together, whilst aiming to increase awareness and attendance of our fascinating calendar of events.

The Society also has an archive which is based upstairs at The Barn in Littleport, just off the Main Street carpark and is open to all on Tuesday afternoons 1-4pm, and by appointment at other times.

The Society aims to:

• Encourage individual awareness and pride in Littleport

• Safeguard the character of Littleport

• Develop the social, historical, and cultural potential of the community.
