Details

Very pleased to announce that our next event is an exciting mix of demos and talks on educational VR. It will be hosted by top games agency Preloaded at their Finsbury Park studio and feature three projects on art, maths and language learning.

Preloaded have been making successful games with purpose for many years, recently venturing into VR. They will be talking about two projects: their work for the Science Museum's mathematics gallery demonstrating the maths of aircraft flight with the Handley Page VR experience, and their ground-breaking new installation for Tate - a VR reimagining of the Parisian studio where Modigliani lived and worked in the final months of his life.

We'll also be hearing from busuu Head of Education (and LEGup founder) Kirsten Campbell-Howes on their new partnership with Facebook and Oculus - The Hacienda, a VR game for beginner-level Spanish learners. The game utilises voice recognition technology within a puzzle game environment to enable players to practise their spoken Spanish in the context of a traditional Mexican Hacienda.

There will be talks on each of these, followed by a chance to try them out yourself!

Tickets are free, but strictly limited due to available space, which means only those who are signed up will be allowed in and no plus ones allowed. We'll operate a waiting list so please amend your details if you can no longer come to allow others to attend.
