Sun and Moon Alchemy
The Sun - TaiYang or Greatest Yang and the Moon - TaiYin or Greatest Yin, continually bathe the Earth with waves of Qi.
These energies play a vital part in the cycle of life governing the growth of flaura and fauna as well as moving the tides of the great oceans.
Within the matrix of Qi that composes the human being both the Sun and the Moon energies can be used to regulate the internal Qi fields symbolised in Traditional Chinese Medicine as the Five Element theory or WuXin - Fire, Water, Metal, Wood and Earth.
This energy interaction is also an area which Science is investigating,
"Solar activity, geomagnetic activity and weather are correlated to changes in blood pressure, blood composition and the physical and chemical state of humans"
Annette Deyhle, Ph.D. and GCMS Research Team
The Daoist adepts of China have been practicing Alchemy for thousands of years and this traditional aspect of QiGong has been brought through in their lineages to the modern era intact.
The Alchemical process is that of connecting to, drawing in and adjusting energy fields so that they are in proper relative interaction with each other as well as in harmonious inter-relationship or to achieve a specific training objective.
This series of QiGong meditations will examine the process of Sun and Moon Alchemy both internally and externally in theoretical and practical aspects utilising specific Qi Gong/Energy Skill methods.
Understanding how to establish and modulate this Alchemical process will be taught & developed and can be utilised to achieve and assist in creating Harmony for the following:
• Directly experience Sun & Moon Qi
• Emotional disharmony affecting thoughts, moods & actions
• Agitated or restless mind
• Physical injuries, aches & pains
• Post/Pre surgery or medical intervention rehabilitation/strengthening
• Increased Qi/Energy flow through areas that feel blocked, stagnated or weaker than others
• For the sheer joy of experiencing more Qi/Energy flow and the associated awareness & experiences.
Qi Gong is the ancient system of Vital Energy Cultivation developed by Chinese QiGong teachers over many thousands of years. It is the fundamental aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine which works on harmonising the Qi flow of the Organs (ZangFu) & their associated Meridians (JingLuo) through Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, QiGong & TuiNa.
Combinations of meditative focus, breathing methods, movement & stillness techniques are all aspects of QiGong, by interacting with & manipulating the Qi within our bodies as well as interaction with the multitude of Qi fields around us, one can achieve an abundance of Qi flow.
We look forward to you joining us!
