Umbraco London April Talks
Details
Join us for an evening of all things Umbraco! We are being hosted by PAM Internet in the offices of Redburn (10 Aldermanbury, EC2V 7RF). We have to give attendee names to reception so PLEASE make sure you sign up in advance if you intend to come.
18:30 - chat, drinks and food
19:00 - talks will start, including:
The news headlines (obviously just Umbraco/.Net related, not Brexit).
"Who else wants your webserver?" with Dan Godfrey. We'll learn who is usually behind attacks on webservers, what they want to do with them and some of the things we should be doing to prevent our sites from being compromised, as Dan talks us through what happened to some well-known companies how they were exploited.
“Umbraco Practitioners and UI kit demo” with Mike Taylor (Digital Director at Flag). Off the back of discussions at the UK festival about encouraging more community engagement with non-developers, Mike has set up a new monthly virtual meetup focused on doing exactly that. He’ll chat through what it’s all about, and also run through a demonstration of the Umbraco backoffice UI kit that he’s producing (and explain why he’s producing it!).
The highlights from Umbraco Spark - the recent innovation conference held in Bristol - from Steve Temple (Gibe Digital).
A demo of the "Bulma Starter Kit for Umbraco V8" - a simple and easy quick start for umbraco version 8 applications - from Matt Barlow.
21:00 - relocate to a nearby pub to continue the conversations!
