What we're about
The Los Angeles Game Club is bound to one clear fact: the world of games is evolving at a pace it has never reached before. In 2009, a small studio launched an online free-to-play game called League of Legends which grew to 67 million monthly active users, exploding all free to play stats to this day, and, from it's success, contributed to the rise of eSports with multi-million dollars tournament prizes. In 2012, major studios start blending the virtual and physical game worlds with titles such as Infinity and Skylander, and recently a blogger just raised 8.8 million dollars on Kickstarter for a board game called Exploding Kittens.
It's a real revolution and it's all happening, here, in LA!
Whether you are a serious gamer, a game developer or simply curious about this movement, we organize weekly events, for people to meet and make new friends around the world of games. From visiting classic arcade bars to discovering new video games releases or simply having a good time around a freshly released Kickstarter board game, we have something in for everyone.
