Early morning has been prescribed as the ideal time for meditation by sages throughout the ages. It is the quietest time of day and is said to have a special fresh energy associated with it that makes it especially good for meditation.
With that in mind, I would like to invite you all to what promises to be a unique experience next Thursday / Friday. The weekend is very auspicious and good for meditation practice and the Geminid Meteor shower will provide a great backdrop for contemplation.
The plan is to head out into the desert, set up camp, meditate around a bon fire, enjoy the spectacular visual spectacle of the Geminid Meteor shower over a simple meal, crash, wake up early, meditate, watch the sun come up over the dunes, and then head back home to start a glorious new day!
