The Monthly Argument Drinks, Dinner and Discussion
This will be our fourth dinner since we ceased having large scale formal debates. We have managed at least 12 attendees each time which suggests that we still have a bit of life left in us.
At the September dinner there was an informal debate between Arthur and Peter over the state of the world economy and the effectiveness of economic policy. The paper I posted on a proposal for a wealth tax didn't crack a mention. But if any one wants to discuss it, it is still available to read together with a few interesting comments. [Go here] If you have a topic you would like to discuss come along and give it a go.
As usual dinner will be a resident’s style buffet dinner comprising soup, main course and dessert all for only $15.00 for Graduate Union members and $20.00 for non-members. Drinks are at members’ bar prices.
Try to be there by 6.30pm for drinks and chat. We eat at 7pm sharp.
