Monash Gallery of Art & Jell's Park

Details
Monash Gallery of Art describes itself as the home of Australian photography. It has a modern, airy feel and is a beautiful space for viewing the various exhibitions that cycle through this space. For the first time Bill Henson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Henson) will curate an exhibition of Australian photography.
Drawing on MGA’s collection, Henson has selected around 100 photographs which have gripped, intrigued, or otherwise engaged him. This selection of photographs will be arranged throughout MGA in an experience that will be as intriguing as it will be revealing of Henson’s sensibilities. The exhibition includes many rarely seen photographs, covering the history of Australian photography.
Jell's Park - 3pm - Just down the road from the MGA is Jells Park, one of Melbourne's largest suburban parks. Jells Park abounds with photographic opportunities, featuring a large lake with bird hides and plenty of great scenery for landscape and nature photography.

Madeline's at Jells - is a restaurant/cafe located at Jells Park. Provided that it isn't being used for a function it would surely be a great venue for coffee & cake if you haven't nabbed it at the MGA. Shuts at 4pm.
Wheelers Hill Hotel is just up the road for dinner/drinks at end the day if the fancy grabs you (no set time).
