What we're about

The Michigan Peace and Liberty Coalition aims to enable like-minded sovereign and peaceful individuals to find one another and establish meaningful friendships locally, while advocating the use of education, persuasion, and non-violent resistance as the primary means to bring about freedom in our lifetime. Group opportunities include: Monthly meet-ups, community outreach, discussion groups, activism, continuing education, camping trips, beach day, game nights, movie nights, nights on the town, THE MIDWEST PEACE AND LIBERTY FEST, and more…

Although we are called the Michigan Peace and Liberty Coalition, that is just so you can get an idea of where we are located. We have people who regularly join us from Indiana and Ohio. We have had people travel in from across the continent and Europe. We welcome all freedom lovers, who can get here to join us. We have meet-ups in several Detroit Suburbs, and have had some in Kalamazoo and Lansing as well, along with one in Angola Indiana.

Here, We've elected to call ourselves freedom lovers because it's a term nobody has disparaged yet. When you start talking about freedom people like to criticize terms. To help people find this group, I'm going to add some of those hot button terms here. You might also call us; libertarians (small L, although some Big L people do hang out with us, we don't do that as a part of our group) , anarchists, anarcho-capitalists, voluntaryists who practice voluntarism and agorism.

MPLC Monthly Meetup

B1 Tavern

We are moving to B1 Tavern in Keego Harbor because we get our own room.

Calling all lovers of liberty!

Topic: General agenda discussion. Possible specific theme TBD

***The Michigan Peace and Liberty Coalition is founded on the philosophy of voluntaryism, or voluntarism, which holds that all human association should be voluntary. The moral principle supporting voluntarism is known as the NAP, or the non-aggression principle, which prohibits the initiation of aggressive force or coercion. The word 'initiation' is used here to make clear that voluntaryism does not oppose self-defense.
