The Mighty Mindfulness Meetup is open to anyone who wants to practice mindfulness and learn skills to reduce stress and anxiety. The meetup also provides a way to connect with like-minded individuals in a safe and judgment-free space.

Why Practice Mindfulness?

Mindfulness has been linked to improving mental health, according to the American Psychiatric Association, with benefits including reduced stress and anxiety, improved concentration and focus and less emotional reactivity. UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center defines mindful awareness as “paying attention to present moment experiences with openness, curiosity, and a willingness to be with what is... It invites us to stop, breathe, observe, and connect with one's inner experience.”

The event will include yoga, which is optional or adaptable for any mobility challenges, a guided meditation, and learning and practicing tools together that may help reduce stress and anxiety.

The event duration is approximately 2 hours.
