A sangha is a community of practice where we can support one another on our individual paths of mindfulness and spiritual growth. It gives us all a chance to become rooted in some of the practices which can lead to transformation and awakening in whatever form that takes for each one of us. All traditions are welcome. The idea is that you don't have to do it alone and that, in some ways, the support of a sangha mimics a family over time. I look forward to building a community of like-minded people who want to share the journey together!

This group is for anyone interested in learning the basics and benefits of meditation or for those who already have a meditation practice and would like to join our community of meditators on a routine basis. Introductory courses and Community Meditations held weekly at Satsang House (http://satsanghouse.net), San Diego’s Premier Meditation and Spiritual Center.

Maggie Kelly (http://maggiekelly.com), founder of Satsang House, teaches introductory meditation classes, holds weekly community meditations and gatherings, and hosts private meditation events throughout the year.

Maggie also offers a free, 30-minute Introductory Spiritual Life Coaching Session designed to hone in on where you are now and what you'd like to create for yourself and your life in the next 3-6 months. As a certified spiritual life coach, Maggie will partner with you to illuminate what roadblocks are standing in your way and the intentions you want to set for your future. Known as “Dharma Talks” in Buddhist circles, Community Meditation topic discussions range from learning how to awaken from our habitual daily patterns of behavior to building our strength of character as it relates to our relationships with ourselves and others. Maggie will present a new topic each week and give a short Dharma Talk surrounding the topic. This will be followed by group discussion and meditation.
