Please play with all players and have a good attitude. We change players and teams so everyone can play together. Highlighted Beach Volleyball Rules Safety – No collisions with players (own team or under net) No Arguments, No Critics – just do it over Ignore faults if not excessive to allow longer rallies and practicing more difficult skills (hand setting). Let players call their own faults. Better to earn points with your great playing than by calling faults on others. Scoring: Rally scoring, win by 2. Serving: Let serves are good. Playing: Touching the net is a fault unless the net is pushed into you. Fingertip dink/tip/redirect is a fault. Can’t double-hit the first contact unless hard-driven spike or block. The serve is never considered a hard-driven spike. Serve can not be attacked above the net. A touch on the block will not count as one of the three contacts unless playing doubles. Blocker can hit ball again. The ball can be played with all parts of the body. Intentionally setting the ball over the net must be in the direction the player is facing (forward or backwards) Accidental oversets are not a fault. Ball must cross the net between the poles or antennas.
